Indian Hair Extension Length Tips:
When choosing hair, please keep in mind that Virgin Single Drawn Hair is left completely natural at the ends, there will be variation. It may be a good idea to select a slightly longer length because some trimming may be needed. It's very important to choose a length which you will be happy with. A very long length can be hard to maintain if you are new to hair extensions.
How much hair will I need?
One of our most commonly asked questions is "how much hair do I need to buy for a full weave?" There are a couple of things you should know about virgin indian hair. Virgin Indian Hair also has natural variation at the ends, which may cause the bundle of hair to look thinned out at the ends. Most customers prefer this because it makes the hair look more natural.
For our recommendations, 6 to 8 ounces is recommended if choosing a length 18 inches or less. For lengths longer than 18 inches we recommend a 8 to 12 ounces for fullness. The longer the length of hair, the shorter the width of the track end to end, this means you will need more hair for more coverage for more volume and fullness. It's better to have a little extra rather than not enough during your hair appointment. Whatever you don't use you can save for your next install or a touch up down the road.
What colors does Pauline's Hair come in?
Because our hair is 100% unprocessed, no chemicals, bleach, or hair dyes are used on our hair prior to selling. Our hair comes in different shades of natural blacks and natural browns, ranging from a 1b to a 2.
Can I color my Pauline's Hair?
Absolutely, Because it is 100% unprocessed human hair - it can be colored and/or bleached to any level desired. However, when coloring your hair, we recommend that you consult with a professional hair colorist.
Does Pauline's hair shed?
Our wefts are the best on the market and are tripled reinforced. However, any hair that has been sewn onto a weft is bound to experience some slight shedding. To avoid excess shedding, we recommend your stylist do two things when weaving it:
Apply a weft sealer at each end of the cut weft, this is where most shedding comes from. Sew around the weft and not through the weft. This will avoid the weft from loosening and ensure a tight, secure weft.
Can I swim with my Pauline's Hair?
Yes. We recommend wetting your hair with water and lathering your hair with conditioner (leave-in or regular) prior to going swimming. The chlorine and/or salt will make the hair dry and brittle, but soaking your hair in water and conditioner will minimize the amount of chlorine or sea salt that gets absorbed in your hair. Lastly, you should always wash your hair after swimming.
What is the life expectancy of Pauline's Hair?
With proper care, your hair can last for longer than a year and can be re-used multiple times. The life expectancy of your hair is entirely up to how well you take care of it. Excessive heat and/or coloring and bleaching will minimize the healthiness of the hair and reduce the life of the hair.
