Care Instructions

Washing

We recommend washing your hair at least twice a week with a good quality shampoo and conditioner. Also, we recommend washing your hair in gentle downward strokes. Do not crunch your hair all together; this will result in tangles. Condition your hair in the shower and rinse it out. A conditioner with keratin protein is excellent for hair extensions and weaves because it provides moisture and silkiness to hair that is not getting its nutrients naturally from the scalp. Washing your hair often and using a conditioner with keratin will help your hair detangle, brush more effortlessly, and make it looking silky and feeling soft. Lastly, please be mindful of leave-in conditioners and styling products. When left in for a few days, it will result in build-up and leave your hair looking stringy and sticky. Wet the hair and brush gently before you completely wash it.

Keep the ends of your extensions moist with conditioner. This is important because your hair extensions will dry out, especially if you style them at all.

Drying Your Hair

We recommend letting your hair air dry; this will yield the best results. Heat is hair extensions worst enemy. The more heat you use, the more damaged your hair will get. If time is a factor, use a blow dryer with a diffuser. When you blow dry your hair without a diffuser, it will flatten the natural wave patterns.

Exercise

Wear a cap when swimming or keep your hair out of the water. Chlorine and salt water can cause the hair to tangle and mat up. It is recommended to wear your hair up or in a ponytail when you swim or exercise.

Sleeping

Never sleep on wet hair, make sure your hair is completely dry before you go to bed. It is also recommended to wrap your hair together or gently tie it up to prevent tangling.

Hair Treatments

Don't perm, color or any other chemical process to your own hair extensions. Let your stylist take care of that.
